for more than 65 years with reliable electric service and
innovative programs that are designed to assist economic
development in Calhoun, Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland,
Kershaw, and Sumter Counties.

To assist with economic development Tri-County has become a
leader in the local area Chambers of Commerce and developed
partnerships with Palmetto Economic Development Commission, SC

Alliance. Along with these partners and working directly
with county governments Tri-County has helped locate global
industrial leaders such as Zeus Industries and Southeast Frozen

A team of professionals is in place to assist with any
challenges that a new or existing industry might face. Led
by Chad Lowder, Certified Key Accounts Representative, the team
consists of engineers, operations, and billing specialists that
understand the reliable and timely service that is a necessity
in today’s business climate. Tri-County pledges to provide
the highest customer service to ensure your experience is both
productive and pleasurable.

For qualified industrial customers, Tri-County Electric
Cooperative offers several types of financial incentives to
assist with certain infrastructure costs and rate incentives to
lower the demand charges for a contracted time period.
Tri-County’s incentives go beyond financial with several
innovative programs to help your industry. We offer power
quality monitoring and a full line of surge protection
equipment. Tri-County was also the first cooperative in
South Carolina to implement automated meter reading by a power
line carrier. This enables Tri-County to accurately read
and monitor your electric usage remotely. Energy
consumption can be calculated hourly, daily, and monthly.
These incentives are designed to assist you long after the
initial location process.

first class industrial parks in Calhoun and Orangeburg Counties.
